On Sunday 6th April, Bertie, Edwin, Osti and Finley in year 5 completed a charity bike ride and raised £2600 for Pasics, a charity that helps children coping with cancer within the East Midlands. They called it ‘Riding for Romilly’ as they wanted to support the people who have been helping her through her diagnosis.
The boys planned to cycle Buxton to Belper a total of 25miles. Due to a wrong turn (blame the Dad’s doing the ride with them!), they actually cycled 37miles in total. Not one of them moaned, they were enjoying the day out too much.
There was a crowd of well wishers and supporters at Belper Mill to welcome them home too - all making for a fantastic and successful day. The photo was taken at their last stop before home.
