Hello 👋

Hopefully, you have received a letter from me about your transition date and time (either Thursday 3rd or Friday 4th September) and dates and times for your introductory week (week beg: 7th September) - if not, let me know asap!!

😊👍😊👍😊👍

Your child's teacher has written a little welcome letter for you to share with your child, which we have emailed - please check that you have received it. 😊

Long Row School SENDCO

My name is Claire Lightfoot and I am the Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCO) at Long Row. I am a class teacher, but have additional training and experience in supporting children with additional needs. I work particularly closely with the Early Years Team to ensure early support is in place if needed.

As SENDCO I am here to support you as parents/carers, and school staff, with assessment of and support for children who may have additional needs or disabilities. We can then work together to ensure they are successfully and effectively included into the school community. The class teacher will always be your first point of contact, but I am here to offer additional support and guidance if necessary. I can be contacted through the school office.

If your child has had additional support through outside agencies such as speech therapy either at home or in their preschool setting - do let us know as this will be important for a successful start to school.
