Hello everyone! 👋
I hope you have all had a wonderful half term break!! Home schooling is back on this week and it has a Summer seaside feel!! Mrs Lymer has read you a very popular story - it is one that we know the children in FS 1 really love. I hope you all enjoy listening to it and doing lots of fun activities and learning to go with it!
The teachers will be continuing to get the classroom space organised - we've still got bits to do to ensure it is safe and ready for everyone. Our classroom will look very different when we return and we won't be able to have everything out as we normally do.😟 🌈
We have had delightful weather over half term - how very lucky we are! I have spent lots of time in my garden planting sunflower seeds and some beans - already they have sprouted into little seedlings. I can't wait to see them grow over the next few weeks!!
Also, a little blackbird has visited my garden, but it had a poorly wing. I have kept it fed and watered and it rested for a few days, but on Saturday it started to fly and has gone back into the trees behind my garden. I have seen it flying around over the weekend, too.
Keep those fingers crossed🤞for more sunshine☀️ - keep smiling 😊and stay safe.🤗
Mrs Jones ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

We will add a weekly plan each Sunday afternoon for you to use as guidance for the following week. Please don't panic if you don't manage everything and help/support your child as much or as little as you feel is appropriate.
Remember to be kind to yourselves and enjoy this time with your children. They are going to remember, and talk about this unusual time in their lives for many years to come!! 💖
Messages from the Teachers
Every week a teacher from EYFS will post a little message to let you know how they are keeping busy. 😀
Mrs Smurthwaite has worked her magic to write you a unique and brilliant message through a poem!! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as we all did. Please click and open the documents below to see the messages sent so far! More to follow over the next few weeks!!
Home Learning Ideas
Owing to the current national guidance on school closures, we will be posting ideas and activities that your child can do whilst at home, in order to keep our children learning and active! We have posted a range of website links which will support our current learning in phonics, maths and topic work. This includes links to both the Phonics Play and Twinkl websites, which are both offering free access to parents and children over the next few weeks. These are both websites that we use in school and so will hopefully offer some familiarity to the children whilst they are at home. You will also see a picture link to the Oxford Owl, which offers phonics and reading activities for your child to do at home.
